Biography

Priscilla was the daughter of Samuel Gurney and Elizabeth Sheppard. She was born at Upton, Essex on 16 August 1819[1][2]

Priscilla's marriage to William Henry Leatham was registered in the West Ham district of Essex in the first quarter of 1939.[3] They married at Plaistow Quaker Meeting House, Essex on 21 February 1839. Her husband is described in a marriage notice as second son of William Leatham of Heath near Wakefield, Yorkshire, banker.[4]

Priscilla's death was registered in the Pontefract district of Yorkshire in the third quarter of 1887.[5] Probate was granted on her estate on 17 November 1887, with her death date recorded as 27 September 1887.[6] FindAGrave gives her burial place as St Helen's, Hemsworth, Yorkshire.[7]
