Biography

OBITUARY: Grace G. Trujillo, age 97, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2014, while surrounded by her loving family. Grace was a lifelong resident of Placitas, NM, where she was a member of the San Antonio Mission. Grace enjoyed drawing, painting, reading and playing the piano. Grace was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Aurelia Gurulé, husband, Flavio Trujillo, siblings, Catalina Gurulé, Josefita Miera, Martín Gurulé and Clory Gurulé. Grace is survived by her loving children, Reyna DeLara and her husband, Herman Chávez, Rita Benavidez and her husband, Paul, Flavio "Fito" Trujillo, Clyde Trujillo and his wife, Priscilla, Benny Trujillo, Margie Archuleta and her husband, Ray, Grace Torréz and her husband, Fred, Diane Melendez and her husband, Max, Dorothy Hearon and her husband, Don and Danny Trujillo and his wife, Georgia, 31 grandchildren, 95 great-grandchildren, 64 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are her sister, Lizzie Archibeque and her husband, Jacob, her brother, Pete Gurulé and his wife, Virginia, other numerous relatives and friends, her pet parakeets, Lollie and Pop and her cat, Billy. Grace will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 301 Camino del Pueblo, Bernalillo, NM, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. also at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Placitas Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be Gregory Kraft, Mark Benavidez, Anthony Archuleta, Dino Farfan, Izaiah Trujillo and Raymond Melendez.
