Ann S. Needham, former long time Colfax resident, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2010 at the Tri-State Memorial Hospital in Clarkston. She was 87. A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 10th at 2:00 pm in the Colfax Cemetery. Pastor Don Moore will officiate. Ann was born October 29, 1922 in Duluth, Minnesota and spent her growing up years there. Following her high school graduation, she moved to the Tri-Cities area where she worked at Hanford. She met her future husband there. Ann and Lawrence “Red” Needham were married in Colfax in December of 1953. They made their home in Colfax where Red worked as a mechanic for Colfax Motors and later for Arrow Machinery. Ann worked for many years in the housekeeping department of the Colfax Nursing Home. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and watching TV. Her husband passed away in 1998 and shortly thereafter Ann moved to Pullman. She has lived at the Avalon Care Center in Pullman for the last five years. She is survived by two sons; Eric Needham, Pullman, and Randy Needham of Spokane; 2 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter and her brother, Stefan Guttormsson of LaCrosse, Wisconsin.
