Biography

George was born in 1897. He was the son of William Guy. He passed away in 1948. His father is listed as William Guy of Alabama and Maggie McDaniel of La. Affiant providing information is given as O.L. Guy. Oddly, Otis Leon Guy's death certificate, provided on his profile, gives his father as Odis Guy and mother as Maggie McDonald, suggesting this death certificate had mistakes, most notably, his father was no doubt not Odis, but William Guy, and his middle name was probably Bennett, or perhaps Benjamin, but Bennell seems to be a typo, which suggests, the typist was reading handwritten notes which said "Bennett" and just didn't see the cross of the vertical lines, and interpreted the lines as "L".

Likewise, the fact that Otis signed Ben's certificate, which requires a family member, and the close proximity of their ages, suggests they were brothers with same parents, which would be William Martin Guy and Margaret (Maggie) McDonald, and the "McDaniel" entry on Otis' certificate is a similar manifestation of poor handwriting and translation.
