Biography

Nellie was born in Shalford Surrey on 6 June1901. She is the daughter of Philemon Guy and Ellen Attfield. Nellie was christened at St Mary the Virgin church in Shalford on 7 July 1901.

On 18 April 1925 in Shalford, Nellie wed Reuben Henry George Knight, a barman. They would become the parents of a daughter, Barbara, who was born in December 1936.

At the time of the 1939 England Register, Nellie was working as a catering victualler.

Nellie was widowed in 1964 and she passed away in West Surrey (exact location unclear) in 1998.
