Biography

Marie Judith Gueret was born and baptized on 10 Mar 1770 in Saint-Louis parish in Kamouraska, Province de Québec. She was the daughter of Pierre Guéret and Marie Magdeleine Morel. Sponsors at Judith's baptism were Joseph Paradis, son of the late Jacques, and Marie Magdelaine Gueré; neither sponsor signed the register.

At age 19, Judith married Joseph Chassé on 15 Jun 1789 in Saint-Louis parish in Kamouraska. There were 10 known children born into this marriage.

Judith Gueret dite Dumont died at age 42 on 8 Dec 1812 in Kamouraska, Bas-Canada; she was buried two days later on 10 Dec in Saint-André parish cemetery in Kamouraska.
