Biography

Jessie Lee Gwin was born on May 9, 1907,^[1] in Chico, Wise County, Texas. She was the daughter of Robert D Gwin and Virginia Ida "Jennie" Bray.^[2] Her Mother died in 1912, when Jessie was five years old. She was still living in Her father's home at age 22, in Lamb, Texas, in 1920, along with her siblings and Step Mother Bertha.^[3]

She married Dewey Benjamin Weaver in about 1938. They lived in Jones Co., Texas, in 1940, where she was an unpaid family worker as a Dr. assistant for Dewey, a Chiropractor.^[4] Then back to Oklahoma City, where they were living at 417 NE 6th Street In 1939 ^[5]and 1945.^[6] They had two children during their marriage.

By 1957 they had moved to 242 SE 54th Street in Oklahoma City where Dewey was an Electrician for Tinker AFB.^[7]

She died March 22, 1972, at the age of 64, and was buried in Arlington Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma,^[1] next to her husband Dewey Weaver.
