I really don't think the spelling mattered that much in the 1800s. I think Gwin, Gwinn, and even Guinn are very likely to be the same name.

Hi:

I am curious about the spelling of the surname of Thomas. I ask because it appears this line is my sister's mother's family. I have been tracing her mother's maternal line and every record, family tree and tombstone I have found thus far has the surname spelled as Gwin. When I saw this spelling, I wanted to check it out. Anything you can tell me would be so helpful.
