Barbara Leora Gwinn was born on November 28, 1896 in Lewisburg, Wayne, Iowa, United States. Her parents were Lewis James Gwinn and Cora Etta Caldwell. ^[1]

In 1900, according to the United States census, Barbara was 4 years old and living with her parents and 5 siblings in Lewisburg, Iowa. ^[2]

In 1906 her family immigrated to Canada. During the census she was 9 years old and living with her parents and 6 siblings at their new home in Calgary, Alberta. ^[3] And in 1911 she was 14 years old and living with her parents and 4 siblings in the Red Deer district of Alberta. ^[4]

In 1926 she was living with her husband David Henry Holden (age 39) and their two children in Acadia, Alberta. ^[5]

Barbara Leora Holden died on March 25, 1987 in Drumheller, Alberta at the age of 91 years. ^[6]
