Bridget was the daughter of John Gwin, merchant of James City County, Virginia, whose Will was proved 25 November 1684. (Originally proved 7 Aug. 1682 in Prerogative Court of Canterbury.) The Sole Legatee & Executor: friend & loving kinsman Mr. Henry Jenkins. (Henry Jenkins, of course, was Bridget's husband.)[1]
She married Captain Henry Jenkins.
When John Gwin, of James City, Virginia, died, Henry Jenkins was Executor of his will ("Virginia gleanings in England: abstracts of 17th and 18th-century English," Lothrop Withington, reprinted by Clearfield Company, Inc., 1998, P. 277). It was proved in Prerogative Court of Canterbury, England by Thomas Starke, deputy of Henry Jenkins.
On 18 Nov. 1698, Bridget petitioned for her 1/3 of husband's estate (Order Book 1689-99, P. 139).
