Rex Gygax (March 7, 1925 - November 29, 2016)
Rex Gygax, 91, passed away peacefully at home in Alamogordo, NM on November 29, 2016, after a brief battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife Arlene J. Gygax and six children. The Gygax family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Hamilton - O’Dell Funeral Home.
Rex interned at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Section Col4 Row B Site 123.
Rex was a graduate of the US Naval Academy at Annapolis, class of 1947, and went on to serve in the Navy for 30 years, retiring as a Captain.
After retirement, Rex and his wife Arlene moved to Cloudcroft where he spent 9 years volunteering at the Cloudcroft Emergency Medical Service.
