Baptised on 16 Jun 1839 in the Lutheran church at Frederiksted on St Croix, she was the youngest daughter of Major Gyllich and his wife Adriana von Meley, both born on St Croix from Danish families.
On 9 Mar 1861 in Frederiksted, she married Michael Rowland O'Maley, a bank manager from St Kitts. After a daughter Elizabeth in 1861, she died giving birth to a son Julian in 1863 and was buried in Grave 46 of the Lutheran cemetery at Frederiksted.[1]
