Biography

Son of Thomas and Matilda Girlington. He "occurs in 1397 and 1404."

3. William, draper, Lord Mayor of York 1441.

Probably died before 20 May 1444 when "Johannis Girlyngton" was mentioned as the deceased brother ('fratris mei defuncti') of William ('Willelmus Girlyngton').^[1] This is a discrepancy in that two other sources list William as the son of John.^[2][3]
