Samuel was born in 1743. His parents were Abraham Gyte and Rebecca Woodhouse. Samuel Goit was baptised on 24 Apr 1743 at Darley, Derbyshire. [1][2]

Samuel Guite and Elizabeth Bibbs married on 29 April 1771 at the Cathedral Church of St Peter & St Paul, Sheffiled, Yorkshire. [3]
