They traveled southwest through forests to the Susquehana River, rafted down this river and Swatara creek to the Lebanon Valley, where George Hain settled near the present town of Wernersville, PA".

On the south side of the highway the westerly limit of his land was the present State Hospital road; on[?] the north side of the highway, the western limit of George Hain's extensive holdings was the farm now owned by J. Turner Moore, where it extended in an easterly direction to a corner below the present Hain's Church road near the easterly boundary of the borough of Wernersville. (See the Plan of Original Land Owners on page 7.) According to family tradition George Hain's home was on the site of a beautiful stone residence erected in the early 1800s (Probably in 1803) nearly a mile west of Wernersville on what was known for many years as the James S Hill Farm and now belonging to J. Turner Moore."

It was originally known as Cacusi church." page 219: "The gallery fronts of the historic Hain church in Berks county, erected in 1766, was in panels which contained a number of carved scenes from the Bible. The first one represented the Garden of Eden, with figures of Adam, Eve, the tree and serpent. When the church was rebuilt in 1878, these interesting embellishments were destroyed."

Began in the late 1730s for the Reformed congregation. Around 1739 to 1740 it appears in documents with the name Cacusi. A register was begun for the congregation on 26 Apr 1746. Their tract of land was enlarged in 1752 and included a cemetery. In 1766 a stone church was built, which was still there in 1980. Apparently this same church was called Haehn's church in a 1905 document. It is now called St. John's, Hain's and is located near Wernersville.
