Hi Christina

Thank you for adding your DNA Test to your profile on WikiTree.

Getting Started with DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

DNA at WikiTree provides a visual way for you to find others who have tested and have the potential of having common ancestors. To get the best results, you need to start with yourself and add sourced profiles for your ancestors until you can connect to existing profiles in WikiTree. 24 hours later, your test will have populated on the profiles of your ancestors and their descendants, where others with potential matches may also appear.

Let me know if you have any questions, and have fun!

Wendy ~ WikiTree Greeter

PS One of our mentors created a tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process that others found very helpful. I hope that you will too.

Welcome back and thanks for signing the Honor Code, Christina! I hope you discover as much about your family as I have about mine over the last several years.

Check out the How-to pages for some quick tips on working with both the Wiki pages and our other members. There is some great information in those pages.

If you have questions about how WikiTree works, let me know and I will find answers. Just reply to this comment, or click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page, or send me a private message.

P.S. If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section on your profile page.

Christina, Welcome to the family!

You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree!

Thank you so much for volunteering to grow Wikitree! I'm sure there are 'cousins' here who will benefit from your insightful collaboration, added sourced research and first-hand knowledge.

Have fun and ask for help if you need it! WikiTree members are always eager to offer guidance to a fellow genealogist. If you need additional help, our Mentors Project is a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to assist you with WikiTree-specific problems.

See you in the branches --

Deborah Greeter from Georgia USA

I am trying to follow my roots back as far as possible. I've run into several dead ends (so to speak) and would like to branch out (as it were).

Hi Christina,

Welcome as a guest to WikiTree! We're growing a FREE worldwide family tree, striving for ONE collaborative profile for every person.

A couple suggestions to get you started:

1. Feel free to ask a question at our G2G forum .

2. Our help pages, top right, have all sorts of useful information.

If you would like to contribute, click the volunteer button and leave a comment here on your profile to let our greeters know. You should include a little bit about how you plan to contribute to the tree.

Good luck growing your branches, and thanks for offering to help with our shared tree :)
