Martine Haché was born 13 Aug 1785 just a week prior to her family boarding the ship L'Amitie from France headed for Louisiana. Interestingly, future husband *Jean Baptiste Pierre Thibodeau is also aboard this ship traveling with his wife who would give birth to their first child while at sea. Both babies would be baptised the same day (27 NOV 1785) at St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans.[1]
The family settled in Valenzuéla (now Plattenville), Louisiana.
Martine's father, Jean Charles Haché, died before the 1788 census of Valenzuéla, on which Martine's mother, Marie Modeste Pinet is listed as a widow.
Martine Achee-Hache died 18 Jul 1861 in Lafourche, Louisiana. [3]
