Biography
PLEASANT HILL — The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at Major Family Funeral Home in Springfield for Juanita June Awbrey of Pleasant Hill, who died Nov. 1 of age-related causes. She was 99.
She was born March 31, 1911, in Eugene to Loyal and Fronia Hills Hack. She married Lloyd Awbrey on Feb. 19, 1930, in Springfield. He died July 6, 2002.
She graduated from Springfield High School. She was a homemaker and worked as a bookkeeper.
Survivors include two sons, William of Pleasant Hill and Curtis of San Diego; three grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Joyce Caroline Awbrey, died in Dec. 21, 1950.
