Elizabeth was born in 1740 at Maryland. He maiden name might be Hacker, but a source is needed.[1][2][3]
She married Joseph Staats circa 1768 at MD or VA.[2][3]
She died between 1788 and 1799 probably near, Weston, Harrison Co., Virginia, She was buried in at Staats Cemetery, Butler Township, Knox Co. Ohio.[3] Butler Township is between Millwood and New Castle, Ohio. Today the cemetery is listed as being in Millwood. Her memorial has photos and links to those of her husband and a child.[4]

"To my knowledge, the only proven children of Joseph and Elizabeth Staats were: Rebecca who married Dudley Langford, Jr, Elizabeth who married Adam Flesher, and Joseph Staats, Jr. Mary Hortense Staats had no proof that Joseph Staats' wife was a Hacker, but thought it was a possibility.
