Wilma (Hacker) Steffen has German Roots.

Wilma was born in 1911. She passed away in 1985.

Obituary

Mrs. Wilma M. Steffen, 73, of 1733 Jackson St., Beloit, a former resident of Sheboygan, died Sunday at Beloit Memorial Hospital.

The former Wilma Hacker, she was born Sept. 19, 1911, in Sheboygan, a daughter of the late John and Caroline Huebner Hacker.

On Oct. 14, 1933, she and Harry Steffen were married in Sheboygan. He died Oct. 19, 1884.

Mrs. Steffen formerly belonged to Trinity Lutheran Church of Sheboygan and sang in the church choir.

She was currently a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Beloit, its Ladies Aid, the Lutheran Laymen's League, the Lutheran Woman's Missionary League and the church's choir and bible class.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Carolyn) Schiefelbein of Beloit; two sons, Lee Harry Steffen of Sheboygan and Karl Steffen, Beloit; seven grandchildren and one step-great-granddaughter; one brother, George Hacker of Jacksonville, Fla.; and one sister, Mrs. Louise Jahnke of Sheboygan. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Chruch, Beloit, with the Rev. Gordon Buchholz officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Cemetery, Beloit. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Rosman, Uehling, Kinzer Cranston Road Chapel, Beloit. A memorial fund has been established in Mrs. Steffen's name.[1][2]
