MRS. WELLS, 98, DIES AFTER ILLNESS
STANTON- Mrs. Louisa Elizabeth Wells, 98, a 44-year resident of Martin, County, died Sunday afternoon in her home at Stanton following a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Floyd Dunn, pastor, officiating and Rev. Warren Hall, pastor of First Baptist Church, assisting. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery with the Gilbreath Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Wells was born Nov. 11, 1875 at Independence County, AR and was married to the late John William Wells on Nov. 3, 1892. He died in 1948. She was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church.
Her survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Virginia Knoblock and Mrs. Pearl Jones of Stanton; and Mrs. Floyd Jones of Ft. Worth; two sons, W. T. Wells of Stanton and John C. Wells of Andrews; two sisters Mrs. Tommie Moore of Cumby, TX, and Mrs Kathryn Prim of Ft. Worth; 11 grandchildren, 30 great-grand- children and 15 great great-grandchildren.
