Biography

Tom was born in 1869. His birth was registered in Westbury on Severn. ^[1] He was the eldest of a large family.

On 19 April 1890 Tom married Emily Scrivens at Drybrook. He was a Coal Miner living at Shapridge. ^[2]

In 1911 Tom and Emily had moved to Nuneaton (the whole family moved there but many had returned to the Forest of Dean by 1911). Tom was a Miner - road repairer. The couple had been married 20 years and had 9 children, of whom 1 had died. All their remaining children lived with them. ^[3]

In WWI Toms son William Allen was killed in Action on 4th November 1918. ^[4]

Emily died in 1935. Tom died aged 78 in 1948. His death was registered in Nuneaton. ^[5]
