William was born in 1607, son of Richard Haddock (1581 - 1660). He married Anna Goodlad (1602 - 1688). William Haddock served in the First Anglo-Dutch War, 1652-53. He commanded the Hannibal, a 44 gun ship in the engagements off Portland and the mouth of the Thames in February, June, and July 1653, and afterward in the Mediterranean under General-at-Sea Robert Blake.
He passed away in 1667, and was buried at St Clement Churchyard, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, England[1]
