William was born in 1883. He is the son of William Haddock and Margret Unknown. [1]

During the census of 1881 he was living in Penshaw with his mother, father and two siblings. [2]

Census 1911 living at Remation Grounds New Herrington, Fence Houses, Durham. Occupation Club Steward. Census 1901 living at 58 Fenton Terrace, Houghton le Spring, Durham. Occupation Coal Miner coal borer and hewer.
