Dorothy June Haese was born in 1918. She is the daughter of Charles Haese and Elsie Gorman.

Transcription: The engagement is announced of Dorothy June, the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Haese, of Mt. Barker, to Myles, the youngest son of Mr. C. T. Long and the late Mrs. Long, of Alpine, New South Wales. [1]

Dorothy June was mentioned in the paper in Mount Barker, Western Australia, as leaving by train to travel to Sydney to marry Mr Long on the 3rd January, 1940, and that she was being accompanied by her sister, Olga who was one of her bridesmaids.[2]

However, it is stated in another newspaper article that Dorothy married Myles Long on the 13th January 1940 at St James, Croyden, New South Wales, Australia at the age of 21. [3]

Transcription: Wedding Bells. LONG—HAESE. St. James' Church of England, Croydon, Sydney, was beautifully decorated by friends for the wedding of June, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Haese, of Mt. Barker, W.A., to Myles, youngest son of Mr. and the late Mrs. Long of Croydon, Sydney. The bride, entering the church on the arm of her cousin (Mr. Phillips) who gave her away, was a charming figure in her wedding gown of cream lame with a corselette waistline, the long sleeves, coming to a point over the wrist. Her veil and coronet, which were loaned by a friend, was one hundred years old. She carried a bouquet of cream roses and frangipangi, which completed a dainty toilette. The bride was attended by her sister Olga, who travelled to Sydney to be present She wore a lovely frock of pale pink lame, tight fitting to the waist with a very full skirt and a smart bolero to match. On her head she wore a shoulder length pink tulle veil to match her frock with a top knot of blue and pink flowers and carried a bouquet of pink carnations and blue delphiniums. She also wore a bluependant, a gift of the bridegroom The little flower girl, a friend of the bridegroom, was prettily dressed in blue organdie and carried a basket of pink carnations and blue delphiniums. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. Robin Long, brother of the bridegroom. After the ceremony, a reception was held at "The Reno" Ashfield. Later in the evening the happy couple left for the Blue Mountains where their honeymoon was spent. The bride travelled in a smart blue ensemble with navy accessories. The bridegroom and his bride will make their future home in Sydney.[4]

In 1977 her residence was 62 Burt Street, Quinns Rock, Western Australia. [5]
