Biography

Mary (Haffield) Cobbett immigrated to New England as a child during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640).

Mary was born about 1618 in England. She is the daughter of Richard Haffield and his first wife Judith who died prior to 1624. She immigrated with her father, stepmother and four sisters arriving Ipswich, Massachusetts in 1635 aboard the ship Planter. She married Josiah Cobbett in Boston (date unknown). Her married name is seen as Cobham in one source.

Found source for her father at GM, says Mary b. 1618; migrated with parents on Planter in 1635.
