George Hagan (1863-1883) was born in Liverpool on the 19th November 1863. He was the son of Peter Hagan and Ann Heeney.

His father died before 1871 when his widowed mother with living with her sister (also widowed young) and her daughter on Shaws Alley in Liverpool. His mother was unable to support all 3 of her children and George's 2 elder brothers were at St George's Industrial School in Everton, Liverpool.

His mother subsequently remarried and maybe she was still unable to support George or he was troublesome as by 1881, he was an inmate of a farm reformatory school in Birkdale, Lancashire.

His mother & stepfather subsequently moved to Bessemer Street in Toxteth Park which is where George died of phthisis on the 13th November 1883.
