Henry attended school in Reedville. After graduation from Oregon State University, he became a partner with his father in the dairy business. He retired in 1964. He served on the board of directors for Mayflower Dairy from 1935 to 1964 and was it president during the last seven years. He was a member of the board of directors for the Consolidated Dairy Products Co. for 19 years and was a delegate to the National Milk Producers Federation. Mr. Hagg was one of the organizers of the Oregon Dairy Breeders Association and served as its president for the first nine years. He was a member of the agriculture committee of Portland Chamber of Commerce, the Oregon State University research committee and the board of trustees for the Tuality Community Hospital in Hillsboro. He was a life-time member of the Reedville Presbyterian Church where he had served as an elder and trustee. He had served for the last 30 years as a member of the Washington County Irrigation District.
Henry has a man-made lake - Henry Hagg Lake, in Forest Grove, Oregon named after him.
He passed away in 1971.
