Mary Hahn (c1854-1947) was born in Greenville, South Carolina in about 1854, the daughter of first-generation Lutheran immigrant Christian Hahn from Graudenz, Prussia, Germany, who emigrated to the United States from Bremen on 20 August 1839. [1] Her mother was also named Mary.

In around 1877 or 1878 Mary Hahn married Ghislain Modeste DeCamps (1834-1896), an immigrant from Belgium. Mary and Ghislain DeCamps had a son:

Mary's husband Ghislain Modeste DeCamps died in about 1896.
After her husband's death, Mary Hahn DeCamps moved to Miami, Florida in 1902, aged around 47, where she lived until June 1946. [2] Mary Hahn DeCamps lived a long life and died at her home at 418 West College Ave, Talahassee, Florida, "following a period of declining health" in late August 1947, aged 95.[2]
