Biography

Anna was born in 1705 in Dannenfels Nassau-Weilburg, Germany.[1] Her parents were Johannes Martin Hahn and Maria Margaretha Adam. [2] Another christening for similar named person with similar named parents was in 1716. [3] And yet another one in 1725 - after married! [4]

She married Johan Philip Emig on 11 Apr 1724 in Germany. [1] Marriage record shows father of bride as Johanne Hacher and father of groom as Johann Nicol. Emich. [5] Downey-1809: Without a source to go with the Comment below I believe they married in Germany.

According to book [1] they had 3 sons and 3 daughters. Sons listed below

  • Johan Philip. He married Maria Anna and had ten children.
  • Dewald b about 1730. Married Susanna Maria and had 4 children.
  • George b about 1745

The following christening records were found. Perhaps these are the "3" daughters (3 surviving anyway): Maria Margetha, Maria Susanna, two Anna Maria's.

Daughter Maria Margretha christened in 1727. [6]

Daughter Maria Susanna christened in 1728. [7]

They had a daughter Anna Maria christened in 1730. [8]

Another Anna Maria christened in 1738. Did the last one die young? [9]

They immigrated to America in 1743. [1]

She passed away at 4PM on 10 Aug 1762. [1]
