Biography
Hammon was born in 1812. He died in 1868 at the age of 55.
Spouse: Sarah (Saufley) Hahn 1818 - 1872. Findagrave #61442942
"Hammon P. Hahn" was confirmed by Rev. John Nicholas Schmucker at Friedens Lutheran Church at Mount Olive, in northern Shenandoah County, 5/6/1832. His father and step- mother were regular communicants there. He moved south into Rockingham County soon after that and married in Rockingham County. He witnessed the will of George Kersh of Augusta County, in 7/1841 as "Hammon P. Hahn."
In 1850 he was living in Rockingham County and listed as "Hammond Hahn" age 34, with wife Sarah, age 32, and Mary, 10; Eliza, 8; Sarah, 6; George, 4; and James 1. All born in Virginia.

I don't subscribe to ancestry.com, but my cousin does and tells me that the Hahns had a daughter, Martha Jane "Jennie" Hahn, who was my great grandmother (Hahn-1196).
Only oddity is that his wife is listed as Sarah Sniftey rather than Saufley. Dates and locations otherwise tally fine.
