Margaret Haig was born in 1896. She was the daughter of Charles Haig and Margaret Peat. [1] Margaret's middle name was mispelled on the birth transcript as Qusenie.
In 1901, Margaret was living with her parents and half brother in Birchington, Kent. Her father was a spirit distiller. [2]
In 1911, Margaret was seen living with her mother and two half-sisters, in Chelmsford, Essex. Her mother was 51-years-old. [3]
