Biography
Amos was a Friend (Quaker)
"Amos Haines (Thomas (2), Richard (1)) farmer, of Evesham Twp., Burlington Co., N.J., probably born about 1710; d. 1756; m. Evesham Mtg., under the care of Haddonfield MM, N.J., 1731, REBECCA TROTH, d. 1771; daughter of William and Elizabeth (Field) Troth. First intentions of marriage were declared Haddonfield MM during 7 mo. (Sept.) 1731, and their marriage probably took place less than two months later. His will was dated Sept. 26, 1746, and was probated Nov. 26, 1756. An inventory of her personal property was taken on Nov. 27 1771."
