Note: John Georg Anton (or Anthony) Haines/Heintz probably came to this country from Germany with Michael Heintz and his siblings Eva, Christiana, Mary, and Anthony. They landed in Philadelphia, PA (Port of Entry), and left for Baltimore, Maryland, because of the Quakers of Philadelphia who tried to impose their religion on the Heintzes.
Michael Haines' will was probated in Baltimore Co. MD on 11 Oct. 1791.
Will was dated 1 Sept. 1779. His death had to have occurred between those dates.
1752 he bought land.
Michael Haines was a non-Juror to the Oath of Allegiance during the Revolutionary War. Both Michael and Catherine left Wills in Baltimore County, which identify their children. Michael's will was dated in 1779.

He and his brother Michael were part of a group of Palatines who migrated from Pennsylvania to Maryland because they were being oppressed in York County, Pa. They were part of a religious sect called Augsburg Confession, a Protestant statement of faith first approved by Martin Luther in 1530.

Anthony purchased "Hawkins Fancy" in 1766, a farm of 277 acres. He also owned 405 acres in Frederick County, Md. named "The Five Daughters".
