Biography

Her second marriage was to George Hunt, on 5 March 1917, in Whitefield, New Hampshire. However Blanddina came to live with Jack and Anna Ruggles a year or so before her death. My Grandfather Drown was also in residence at that time.

Blanddina [Haines] Drown was my maternal grandmother and lived with my parents for the last years of her life after her second husband [George F. Hunt] died. I was a very young child, but I do have a memory of her sitting in a rocking chair by the kitchen window braiding lovely wool scatter rugs which came to grace the floors of my parents home and were still in use when dad sold the house in the early 1970s

Blanddina Haines Drown [1872-1949] was my maternal grandmother and was what is now known to be a function illiterate. She always signed her name with a double d and that is also what was listed in the family bible.
