Simeon Haines (aka Haynes) was born in Exeter, Rockingham, New Hampshire Colony. He is the son of John Haines and Hannah Wiggin.

Simeon married Wealthy Spencer in Durham, New Hampshire, on 15 July 1781. He is the father of eleven children. Simeon served in the American Revolution. He died in Swanville, Waldo County, Maine. He is interred in Greenlawn Cemetery, Swanville, ME.
