Biography

Violet was born on the 16th of June 1895, in the Christchurch district, England .[1].

In the 1901 census Violet (age 5) was the daughter of Thomas Haiselden in Bournemouth, Hampshire, England.[2].

Violet immigrated at age 11 (along with her family) to New Zealand from England on the ship Mamari which left England on 07 February 1908 [3] [4].

Violet May Haiselden and Bertie Fitzherbert Barton Webster married in 1915 in New Zealand [5], and had at least three children:

  1. Hilda Nellie Haiselden (Webster) Jameson (1915-2009)
  2. Bertie Trevor Webster (1918-2001)
  3. Clifford Douglas Webster (1920-1926)

Violet died on 12 May 1984 in New Zealand [6], and was buried on 10 September 1984 at Old Taita Cemetery, Naenae [7].
