Biography

William & Mary Hale William M Hale was born November 13, 1844 and died November 29, 1928. The birth date does not agree with the record of his disinterment, however. When he was disinterred from T B Helm cemetery his birth date was listed as January 8, 1848. Both records agree that he died November 29, 1928. He was a son of James C Hailes (1814-1895) and Mary Merritt (1827-?). His wife, Malinda Mildred Hallum, was born January 20, 1848. The disinterment record says January 2, 1848. She died April 2, 1933 both sources agree. Her parents are not known. She married William Hale February 14, 1870 in Dekalb County, Tennessee. They had three girls: Martha (1873), Etha Gertrude (1876) and Ada Mary (1878). Both were disinterred from T B Helm cemetery and relocated to Mt Holly cemetery. Their daughter, Mrs Eddie Moss, was present at the disinterment.
