Son of Wilson Hale (1793-1834) & Ann Hopkins Crutcher (1802-1870), James Wilson Hale was born on September 24, 1834, in Tennessee. He married Jemima Emilie Johns on January 1, 1857, in Collin, Texas[1] and they had 7 children; those known are:
He died on August 13, 1914, in New Mexico having lived a long life of 79 years, and was buried in Weatherford, Texas.[4]
