Nelson Edmund Hale (1904–1991) married Madge Voyce in 1949. Nelson was
known throughout the Wairarapa for a glorious display of Azalea mollis varieties along his front fence each October. Madge died in 1974 and Nelson in Masterton in 1991. They had no children.[1]
