Thomas was the leading man of his town, held all town offices ; was many years representative in general court ; a Senator in State Senate; a farmer, land surveyor, conveyancer and magistrate. Owned a fine farm heretofore (1874) , owned in part by Hon. Amasa Walker. Was active and prominent in church affairs as in civil life. Served in Revolutionary army in 1777, and as lieutenant in 1779. Thomas served as a 1st Lt with the Massachusetts troops during Revolutonary War. He served with Capt William Henry, 9th company, 4th Worcester Co Regiment in Massachusetts. [5]
