William Haley is a part of US Black heritage.

William Haley was born in November 1894 in Bossier, Louisiana, USA. He was the son of Asa Haley and Druscilla Durden.

William was recorded in Police Jury Ward 6, Bossier, Louisiana, USA, on June 19, 1900, in the census (as William, the 6 year old son).[1]

He was also counted in the census on May 12, 1910, in Caplis, Bossier, Louisiana, USA (as the 16 year old farm laborer and son on Nicholson Plantation Murray Bros).[2]

William was living on June 15, 1917, in Belcher, Caddo, Louisiana, USA (as a 24 year old laborer for W M Rushing in Homan, Arkansas). [3]

Later he appeared in the census in Bossier City, Bossier, Louisiana, USA, on April 22, 1930 (as the 45 year old single lodger and yardman for Annie Hills).[4]

He was recorded in Bossier City, Bossier, Louisiana, USA, on April 19, 1940, in the census (as the 45 year old married carpenter and head of household on Scott St in Hickman Quarters).[5]

Marriage

He married Anna (Francis) Haley. They had six children: Aaron (1920–1984), Jessie (1923–1981), Willie (1925–2010), Neman (ca.1930–), Mildred (1933–) and Betty (1938–2004).
