Biography
Thomas Bramwell Hall was born in 1884 in Tideswell, Derbyshire, England to William Hall and Elizabeth (Bramwell) Hall. His birth was registered in Bakewell, Derbyshire in the second quarter of the year, with mother's maiden name Bramwell.[1]
In 1891 Thomas B Hall (age 6) lived at Fountain Square in Tideswell with his father William (34, Quarryman Limestone), mother Elizabeth (32), and four siblings: Joseph (10), Jane Ann (9), Sarah Elizabeth (4), and Miriam (2).[2]
In 1901 Thomas B Hall (age 16, Green Grocer) lived at Condliff Road in Tideswell with his father William (44, Limestone Quarry Man & Farmer), mother Elizabeth (42), and seven siblings: Joseph (20, Limestone Quarryman), Jane A (19, Fustian Cutter), Sarah E (14, Powerloom Cotton Weaver), Miriam (12), Mary A (5), Cassie (3), and Nellie (1).[3]
In 1911 Thomas B Hall (age 26, Bobbin Carrier at Cotton Doubling Mill) lived in Tideswell with his widowed mother Mrs W Hall (52) and five siblings: Sarah E (24, Cop Winder), Mary A (15, Cotton Weaving Powerloom), Cassy (13, Velvet Cutter Sealton), Nellie (11), and James William (9).[4]
Thomas B Hall married Martha A Lomas (nee Turner) in 1919. The marriage was registered in Bakewell in the third quarter of the year.[5]
