Biography

William Harrison Hall was born 13 January 1813 in Sumner County, Tennessee.[1]
Son of William and Mary (Alexander) Hall, he married Sarah W. McDaniel on 11 September 1845 in Sumner County, Tennessee.[1][2]
He and Sarah were in his father's household at the time of the 1850 Census, in Sumner County.[3] Also in the household was Lydia McDaniel, who was probably his mother-in-law. The household consisted of
  • William Hall, 75, born in North Carolina[3]
  • Mary Hall, 64, born in North Carolina[3]
  • Richard A Hall, 39, born in Tennessee[3]
  • Virginia C Hall, 24, born in Tennessee[3]
  • William H Hall, 37, born in Tennessee[3]
  • Sarah W T Hall, 21, born in Tennessee[3]
  • Catharine Hall, 10, born in Tennessee[3]
  • Mary C Hall, 4, born in Tennessee[3]
  • William Hall, 2, born in Tennessee[3]
  • Thankfull J Hall, 35, born in Tennessee[3]
  • Lydia R McDaniel, 44, born in Virginia[3]
William H. Hall's household in the 1860 census included Mary C (14) and William (12),[4] so they are probably his and Sarah's children.[5]
