Biography

Bahamas Project
Benjamin Hall is part of a Bahamian family.

Merchant

According to the Jubilee Report of the Methodist Church, In 1867, "M.H. Hall and family,Mr. B.V.. Hall and family, W.A,. Hall and family". donated £1, £3 and £ 5 lbs respectively to the Methodist Jubilee Fund via the church in Nassau.

By the 1860's, the Matthew H. Halls, the Atwells and their siblings, originally of The Current, seem to have divided their time between Nassau and Eleuthera as evidenced by willis that deeded land at Current and that some or most of their children were born in the parish of St. Matthews. They were Methodists and presumably attended Ebenezer Church along with other people from Current. Weren't they BV's cousins? Where was BV Hall? More research is needed but it appears that Benjamin Vincent Hall may have decided to pass as a Jamaican of Scottish ancestry! (See his passport)

DNA matches support the connection between the children of B.V. Hall of Jamaica and the Halls of the Current.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Benjamin by comparing test results with other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Benjamin:
