Thomas was killed in an Indian attack in Bedford County, Virginia on 10 May 1794.
Notes
Masias, who was married to Unisiah Smith, came to the Long Fork of Shelby Creek on the Big Sandy (present-day Pike County, KY) between 1810 and 1820 along with his brother, REUBEN HALL, and other settlers. Masias and Reuben are presumed to have been born in North Carolina.
* The father of Masias and Reuben Hall is reported to be JESSE HALL (Sr. or Jr.? -- sources conflict!), who married DICIE FRANKLIN. Jesse was born on Jonathan Creek, Lunenburg (Halifax) County, Virginia between 1746-1750. He died (presumably in Virginia) in 1833. This Jesse Hall appears to be the same person who acquired title to to 120 acres located on the north side of Pigg River, in Henry County, VA, on 19 October 1782. Many other families who subsequently migrated into eastern Kentucky (and intermarried with these Halls) had property in the same vicinity.
The father of Jesse Hall is believed to be Thomas Hall, who was born on Jonathan Creek, Lunenburg County, VA ca 1702. He died in Bedford County, VA on 10 May 1794. - As told to Family down to my Husband Michael David Hall.

The only source for Thomas Anthony Hall, Sr, is the reference to the New England Historical and Genealogical Register, Vol 87, page 356-357. This article, "Henry Hall of Westerly, R. I." names one of his descendants, John Hall of Charlestown, Rhode Island, who had a son "Thomas, b. about 1702." Thomas was not carried forward and there was no additional information about him. It is possible but highly unlikely that he was Thomas Anthony Hall, Sr.
Used as a source for Thomas Hall: The New England Historical & Genealogical Register, 1847-2011;" Page Number: 357; Volume Number: 087. However, this article shows a Thomas Hall born about 1702, the son of John Hall of Westerly (R.I.) and Charlestown, but has no further information about Thomas. The only person carried down was Thomas's brother John who apparently died in Hopkintown. My source: "Henry Hall of Westerly, R.I., his parentage, and some of his descendants," by G. Andrews Moriarty in The New England Historical and Genealogical Register, Boston, MA: New England Historic Genealogical Society, 1847, vol. 87, p. 357. There seems to be no connection between this Thomas Hall and Thomas Anthony Hall who supposedly was born in Lunenburg County, Virginia. I was hoping someone could provide documentation for the death of Thomas Anthony Hall Sr.
Before marking a parent as 'confirmed with DNA,' please ensure that DNA matching information is included in the profile for at least two testers, including where the DNA was matched, the amount of shared DNA, and the estimated relationships.
'Confirmed with DNA' should not be set before the necessary DNA confirmation statement has been added to the child's profile.
You can see what is required under the DNA Confirmation (click) topic of WikiTree's Help pages.
