Thomas died in childbirth in 1922, the the son of Lewis Hall and Nona Everhart. The labor was prolonged, and he died of asphyxication probably from entanglement of the umbilical cord according to the death certificate.[1]
He is buried in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Trinity, North Carolina.[2] His grave marker reads:
