[...] Hall (d. inf.)
Although this child is covered under the 1850 census and in the household of Nancy Hall, I don't know if this child is her biological child or not. Generally it is assumed that she was born in 1804 which would have made her age 46. This is doable as some women of that age are still able to bear children. But in this census Nancy, the mother, is noted as being 52 years old. At that age it would be nearly impossible for this infant to be her child. Also Nancy's husband, William, died in Sept of 1849. Apparently he was ill as he made his will in July of 1849. Depending upon conception and actual delivery could determine whether this is her child or not. the 1850 census was taken on July 18th (may be 15th) 1850. This infant is noted as being "2/12" (2 months old). He would have been born in May. Between William's death in Sept of 1849 and the birth of this infant would be 8 months. Depending upon how ill William was and if Nancy was under 50, then there is a bigger probability that this infant belonged to William & Nancy.
It would be assumed that this child is buried in the Hall Cemetery in Catawba, Roanoke, VA in an unmarked grave.
