Alice was born about 1612. Her father was known as "of London"[1] so she was probably born there.
Alice was the daughter of John Hall of London,[1] and his wife.
She was married to Jarvice Blackwell, on 14 October, 1634, at St Helen's Church, Bishopsgate, London City, by "lycense from Doctor Thomas Bennett."[2] Jarvas was a younger son of Wendesley Blackwall of Dethick, Derbyshire, gent, and his wife, Martha Gardener.[1] Martha was the daughter of Thomas Gardener of Adderbury, Oxfordshire, esq.[1] Alice was Jarvas' wife, when his brother, Mr Thomas Blackwall, son and heir of Wendesley Blackwall of Dethick, Derbyshire, Gent, testified to their father's Funeral Certificate, taken on 31 May, 1638, at Mansfield Woodhouse by John Newton, Gent, Deputy to the Office of Arms.[1]
Gervase and Alice (Hall) Blackwell are mentioned in the wills of Alice's parents, John Hall (will 1644) and Sarah (Lumley) (Hall) Wraxall (will 1665). Sarah (Lumley) (Hall) Wraxall mentioned her grandchildren Edward, Dorothy, and Sarah Blackwell, children of my late daugher Alice Blackwell, late wife of Gervas Blackwell, who is now a linen draper in Newgate Market.
Alice was living and married in 1644 but deceased by 1665.
Alice Blackwell was buried on 10 February, 1656/7, at St Margaret's Church, Westminster.[3]
