Sarah was born about 1847 at Lisnevenagh, Co. Antrim, Ireland. She was the daughter of Charles Hall and Esther Fay[1].
Sarah's family emigrated to Scotland in the 1860s.
Sarah married Thomas M Craig on 31 Dec 1863 at Bathgate, West Lothian, Scotland[2].
Sarah and Thomas had at least five children: David Craig (1864–1866), Esther Craig (b. 1866), David Craig (b. 1867), Agnes Craig (b. 1869), James Craig (b. 1871).
In the 1871 Scotland census, Sarah was age 23 living at Armadale, West Lothian, Scotland with her husband Thomas Craig (33), daughters Esther Craig (5), Ann Craig (1), son David Craig (3)[3].
Sarah and her family emigrated to New Zealand in 1875. They travelled on the Caroline on 12 Oct 1875 and arrived at Nelson on 13 Jan 1876. Also on the same voyage were her brother Christopher's family[4].
It is not known what happened to Sarah after she arrived in New Zealand.
